Our People

Darryl is a Senior Solicitor with fifteen years of practice experience in both Hamilton and the Bay of Plenty. 

Darryl has grown up in and around Hamilton and has seen the city grow and change over the years. He knows the city well and appreciates the diversity, both cultural and urban/rural that is reflected in the city’s growth. 

Prior to his legal career Darryl gained legal experience in a variety of industries including but not limited to horse racing, telecommunications and driving. He then proceeded to study at the University of Waikato where he obtained his law degree and was admitted into the Bar in 2004. 

Darryl began his legal career working for Anthony J. Nolan before moving to the Bay of Plenty where he gained extensive legal experience with some well-known legal firms for 5 years. Darryl also has experience working in the Rotorua district community law centre. 

After returning to Waikato, Darryl was invited by Anthony J. Nolan and Steven Lu to join the firm Nolan and Lu Lawyers, where he now primarily practices in employment law, immigration, and relationship property matters. 

Darryl is married to Shivani and has three children (now adult) and two grandchildren, one granddaughter (cutest EVER) and one grandson. His interests include travel, autorickshaws and motorcycles.
